Nigde, Sport is counting the days for the opening of the modern stadium that will strengthen its infrastructure.
In May 2021, the construction of the new stadium built in place of the old stadium, which was demolished, came to an end.
Designed as a multi-purpose stadium that will serve not only for football but also for athletes in different branches, the stadium, the construction of which started in November 2022, will have a capacity of 7,500 spectators.
Selim Mızrak, the site chief and civil engineer of the stadium, said in a statement about the project that the structure was built with earthquake-resistant, high-quality materials and that all details were planned for the future.
Mızrak said, ”The stadium has 8500 square meters of grass area. The dimensions of the playing field are in accordance with international standards and can host Super League level matches. There is a 6000 square meter area with a 6-lane athletics track, where international level races can be held. In addition, there is a 3000 square meter synthetic work area and a 10,000 square meter covered tribune area.”.
The stadium, which includes 2 sports halls, 4 locker rooms, a protocol tribune for 650 people, a live broadcast room and a press tribune, will have a parking capacity of approximately 700-800 vehicles. - NİĞDE
